The last time I posted, I hinted that my photography would be changing and I would be trying something different to “improve my photography to make it more satisfying and fulfilling”. Well, I hope you’ll be pleased to know I feel I’ve made some progress.
On February 17, I attended a 1-1 workshop with Neil Hulme (a very fine black & white minimalist photographer – website neilhulme.smugmug.com) and we spent a whole day together so he could teach me about the taking and processing of black and white minimalist images. Neil has an established and easy to understand approach to this area of photography – such clarity of thought and approach is something that has escaped me for many years. All in all this was a most productive and enjoyable workshop and I would have no hesitation in recommending Neil to anyone who wanted to follow a similar path to mine.
Here’s the first image from that day I have processed for myself. There will be more to follow, so please check out my image galleries in a few days.
