We all have our favourite places, and one of mine is Whitby. While I do feel that I haven’t been there to take photographs as much as I would like (must put that right!), my visit there in February 2011 has proved productive and rewarding. Prints of the image
shown below are now available for purchase.
As a child I used to make frequent visit to the resorts on the east coast of Yorkshire (enjoying many servings fish and chips, sometimes more than once in a day) and I have a strong affection for Scarborough and, in particular, Whitby. I have for some years now been inspired by the photography of famous photographer of Whitby – Frank Meadow Sutcliffe – and when I’m in Whitby, I always try and visit the Sutcliffe Gallery on Flowergate. It’s well worth a visit if you haven’t been. You can find the gallery’s website here: Sutcliffe Gallery Website.
